KCED Holds Business Mixer
The Keokuk County Economic Development formerly known as the Sigourney Economic Development Corporation held a business mixer last week for businesses to get better acquainted with one another. Snacks and drinks were served while business owners and employees networked, handed out business cards and made connections.
"We have restarted monthly business mixers because our members asked for them. They had actually begun a few years ago but were interrupted by Covid. Providing a regular opportunity for the members of our business community to come together in a social setting where they can build relationships, raise awareness of their business, exchange ideas, and discuss opportunities in an around the community is something we should be doing. Similar programs are available in other communities and it makes sense for us as well. Our first one was a success and we will keep them going." Gary Iosbaker, Executive Director, KCED
Some of the businesses that were there to mingle were:
Hospice of Washington, 2x New Consignment, First Resources Corp., Sigourney Smiles, MCG, Sinclair Tractor, H&M Farm Store, Sigourney Mayor; Jim Morlan, SADC Director; Gary Iosbaker, Walk’Er Drive Thru, Sigourney Upholstery, TFP creative in Sigourney(Home Crafts), and KCED.
