English Valleys and Morse Make Trip to Iowa City for Districts

IOWA CITY—On May 16, the English Valleys golf team and Clay Morse of Sigourney made the trek down to Brown Deer golf course in Iowa City for the 2023 district meet. The English Valleys Bears qualified as a team, while Morse qualified for the meet as an individual.
The Bears were unable to advance to the state meet, as was any individual on their team. Eli Marsh was close, as he finished with the fourth lowest score on the day with a 78, but it was not enough to qualify for the state meet. Morse was also unable to qualify for the state meet with an individual score of 86.
The rest of the Bears finished as follows: Gage Heyne-91, Ty Ayers-99, Luke Moore-103 and Myles Grove-111.
