Sigourney:

The Sigourney Savages hosted the HLV Warriors on June 12 for a conference matchup. The Savages stomped the Warriors by a final score of 13-1.

The Savages jumped out to a 2-0 lead after an inning of play. The offense went nuclear in the third and fourth innings, and scored 11 runs in the span of those two innings. They held onto this lead en route to the 13-1 victory.

The Savage offense had five players tally two RBIs on the day: Ava Fisch, Carly Goodwin, Josephine Moore, Kenzi VanDenHueval and Erin Dawson.

Calry Goodwin got the start from the bump, and finished her day with four innings pitched, one earned run on two hits and 11 strikeouts.

The Savages advance to 10-2 on the season, and will return to action on June 14, when they visit the Pleasantville Trojans. 

The Sigourney Savages made the trip to Pleasantville high school for a non-conference matchup against the Trojans. The Savages stomped the Trojans by a final score of 11-0.

Erin Dawson led the Savage offense with three RBIs on the day. Carly Goodwin, Josephine Moore and Kenzi VanDenHueval all also notched two RBIs.

Goodwin got the start from the bump, and finished her day with six innings pitched, no earned runs on two hits and 16 strikeouts.

The Savages improve to 12-2 on the season, and will return to action on June 14, when they host the North Mahaska Warhawks.

On June 16, the Sigourney Savages visited the Belle Plaine Plainsmen for a conference matchup. The Savages trounced the Plainsmen by a final score of 16-0.

The Savages scored all 16 runs within the first four innings. Carly Goodwin and Rain Barthelman led the team with four RBIs apiece. Ava Fisch and Erin Dawson also secured three RBIs on the day for the Savages.

Carly Goodwin got the start from the bump, and struck out the side. Josephine Moore took over in the second, and finished her day with three innings pitched, no earned runs on one hit and six strikeouts.

The Savages advance to 14-2 on the season, and will return to action on June 17 for the Oskaloosa tournament.

On June 17, the Sigourney Savages made the trip to Oskaloosa for a tournament. The Savages finished 2-0 on the day with victories over the Creston Panthers and the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons.

The first matchup was with the Creston Panthers, who play in Class 4A. The Savages dominated the Panthers by a final score of  5-0.

All five Savage runs came in the first inning, and they held this lead en route to the 5-0 victory.

Josephine Moore led the team with two runs batted in on a double in the first inning. Carly Goodwin, Kenzi VanDenHueval and Ava Fineran also tallied an RBI on the day.

Carly Goodwin pitched another gem, in which she secured a seven inning no-hitter with 18 strikeouts. Goodwin pushes her season total for strikeouts up to 182 strikeouts.

The second matchup in the Oskaloosa tournament was with the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons. The Savages handled the Falcons by a final score of 13-4.

The Savages and Falcons both score two runs to start the game. The Savages then tallied seven in the second and four in the fourth en route to the 13-4 victory.

Amiya Smallwood led the team with four runs batted in. Kenzi VanDenHueval also tallied three RBIs on the day. 

Josephine Moore got the start for the Savages, and finished her day with four innings pitched, three earned runs on six hits and three strikeouts.

The Savages advance to 16-2 on the season, and will return to action on June 19, when they host the Keota Eagles.

Keota:

The Keota Eagles visited the Lynnville-Sully Hawks on June 12 for a conference matchup. The Eagles fell to the Hawks by a final score of 12-0.

The Eagles fall to 0-10 on the season, and will return to action on June 14, when they host the BGM Bears.

The Keota Eagles visited the Iowa Valley Tigers on June 16 for a conference matchup, and lost by a final score of 22-2.

The Eagles fall to 0-12 on the season, and will return to action on June 19, when they visit the Sigourney Savages. 

Tri-County:

On June 12, the Tri-County Trojans visited the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks for a conference matchup. The Trojans corralled the Tigerhawks by a final score of 5-2.

The Trojans found themselves down 1-0 after two innings of play. They took the lead in the third with two runs, but the Tigerhawks tied the game at two apiece in the bottom of the fourth. The Trojans eventually broke the tie in the sixth with three runs, and held this lead en route to the 5-2 victory.

The Trojans offense was led by Lily Randall, who tallied two RBIs on a double. Peyton Icenbice and Alyssa Conrad also knocked in a runner each for the Trojans.

Delanie Little got the start from the mound, and finished her day with seven innings pitched, two earned runs on two hits and eight strikeouts.

The Trojans pushed 7-5 on the season, and will return to action on June 14, when they host the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks. 

On June 14, the Tri-County Trojans hosted the Lynnville-Sully Hawks for a conference matchup. The Hawks bested the Trojans by a final score of 15-11.

The Trojans offense was led by Delanie Little, who tallied three RBIs on a home run and double. Ayla Hall also knocked in two runs for the Trojans. There were also four other Trojans that secured an RBI: Peyton Icenbice, Lily Randall, Raegan Molyneux and Alyssa Conrad.

The Trojans fall to 7-6 on the season, and will return to action on June 16, when they visit the English Valleys Bears.

English Valleys:

On June 12, the English Valleys Bears visited the North Mahaska Warhawks for a conference matchup. The Bears bested the Warhawks by a final score of 9-3. 

The Bears found themselves down 2-1 after the first inning of play. They tied the game up in the third, then proceeded to score five runs in the fourth inning and two more in the sixth. The Warhawks were able to add one more run in the seventh, but could not mount a comeback.

The Bears offense was led by Kennedy Axmear, who knocked in four RBIs on the day on a home run and a double. Imigyn Stratton also tallied an RBI on the day.

Axmear got the start from the bump, and finished her day with seven innings pitched, three earned runs on eight hits and 10 strikeouts.

The Bears push to 9-5 on the season, and will return to action on June 16, when they host the Tri-County Trojans.

On June 17, the English Valleys Bears participated in a Hillcrest Academy tournament, and finished the day with two victories over the Danville Bears and the Hillcresy Academy Ravens.

English Valleys defeated Danville by a score of 13-1, while also beating the Ravens by a score of 10-0.

English Valleys advances to 13-5 on the season, and will return to action on June 19, when they visit the Belle Plaine Plainsmen.

Pekin:

On June 13, the Pekin Panthers visited the Highland Huskies for a SEISC-North matchup. The Panthers fell to the Huskies by a final score of 14-4.

The Panthers fall to 0-12 on the season, and will return to action on June 14, when they host the Mediapolis Bulldogs.

On June 14, the Pekin Panthers hosted the Mediapolis Bulldogs for a SEISC-North vs South matchup. The Panthers lost to the Bulldogs by a final score of 14-2.

The Panthers fall to 0-13 on the season, and will return to action on June 15, when they host the Hillcrest Academy Ravens. 

The Pekin Panthers hosted the Hillcrest Academy Ravens on June 15 for a SEISC-North matchup. The Panthers lost a thriller to the Ravens by a final score of 14-10.

The Ravens jumped out to a 6-2 lead after two innings of play. They pushed their lead to 10-5 by the conclusion of the sixth inning. The Ravens added four runs in the seventh, and the Panthers added five as well. The runs from the Panthers were not enough to mount a comeback, as they fell to the Ravens by a final score of 14-10.

The Panthers fall to 0-14 on the season, and will return to action on June 16, when they visit the Lone Tree Lions.
