Public Health Move Stalled by Car Crash

SIGOURNEY – The Keokuk County Public Health office was planning to move from the courthouse to a new location, in the same building next to the Sigourney country club as the Emergency Management office, on June 26. These plans were quashed when, mere days before the new location’s opening, a car crashed through the wall of the building. The Public Health office is currently still located on the first floor of the courthouse. There are plans to eventually move to the new location once repairs have been made, but there are many unknowns at this time.
