Janet Kay Fairchild, 83
Janet Kay Fairchild, 83, died January 26, 2024 at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney, Iowa. She was born April 29, 1940 to Cecil Cleon and Glenna Irene Molenburg Clark in Oskaloosa. She graduated from English Valleys High School in 1958. On July 26, 1958 she married Larry Lee Fairchild at the Methodist Church in Oskaloosa. She was employed at Kingsberry Homes, she had an in home day care and later at the Manor House as a CNA. Janet loved playing cards especially canasta, she enjoyed having coffee time with her neighbor lady friends. She was a member of Sigourney Christian Church, bowling leagues, Sigourney Music boosters and Sigourney Pride.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Larry on January 14, 2023 son in law Dan Richardson, brothers Jim, John, Jerry and Dick Clark.
She is survived by her children Debra (Lonnie) Cobb of Eagan, MN, Diane (Greg) Peiffer of Sigourney, Douglas (Kathy) Fairchild of Urbandale, Dana Richardson of Sigourney, 11 grandchildren Jack Cobb, Jenifer Rodin, Melissa McLaughlin, Christina Montgomery, Theresa Glandon, Joe, Natalie and Sam Fairchild, Lauren Richardson, Mallory Richardson, Lindy Donohue, 15 greatgrandchildren, Johnathon and Joey Rodin, Casey and Carson Cobb, Briana, Hanna, Kiera and Owen McLaughlin, Clayton and Kaylee Visser, Kia, Izabelle and Autumn Montgomery, Emelya and Daniel Glandon, one brother Jack(Elaine) Clark of Arizona, two sisters Judy Tremmel of Kansas and Sherrie Groff of Minnesota and several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Visitation: Wednesday, January 3, 2024 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Holm Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Thursday February 1, 2024 at the Sigourney Christian Church at 10:30 A.M. A general Memorial fund has been established. Arrangements by the Holm Funeral Home.
