The athlete of the week for the week of May 13 is Anna Hadley of the Pekin girls track team. Hadley had a spectacular performance at the State Meet in Des Moines.
She started things off with a Class 1A State Championship in the shot-put event with a throw of 39-02.
The following day, Hadley finished in second place in the discus event with a longest throw of 132-05.
The News-Review would like to congratulate Pekin’s Anna Hadley on a spectacular performance at the 2024 State Track Meet.
