Athlete of the Week: Carly Goodwin

The athlete of the week for the week of May 27 is Carly Goodwin of the Sigourney Savages. 

Goodwin reached the 1,000 career strikeout mark in the 11-0 victory over Iowa Valleys. In the game she secured 15 strikeouts and only gave up on hit. 

Goodwin pitched in four games this week and tallied 52 total strikeouts, which is an average of 13 punch-outs per game.
