Athlete of the Week: Carly Goodwin

The athlete of the week for the week of July 1 is Carly Goodwin of the Sigourney Savages softball team.

Goodwin played the main catalyst in the Savages two wins over Seymour and Solon this week. 

In the win over Seymour, Goodwin tallied an RBI, while striking out 19 batters and allowing only two hits.

Goodwin guided the Savages to the other win over Solon with two RBIs, which included her sixth home run of the season. On the mound, she pitched six innings with no earned runs on three hits and 10 strikeouts.
