Athlete of the Week: Carly Goodwin

The athlete of the week for the week of July 22 is Carly Goodwin of the Sigourney Savages softball team.

Goodwin put on a show in the Class 1A State championship game. She started things off with a home run to deep centerfield in the first inning. From the mound, she gave up no earned runs and struck out eight Blue Devils.

Goodwin was also named the captain of the Class 1A All-Tournament team due to her performance in those three tournament games.
