Sigourney Council Hires Office Assistant

SIGOURNEY – During the Sept. 18 meeting of the Sigourney City Council, the council approved hiring Jessica Weber as an office assistant. Weber will be paid $17 an hour for a sixty day probation period, then receive a raise to $17.50. She should work 32 hours per week.

The council discussed setting a date for a special strategic planning meeting, where the council can discuss plans for projects in the future; the discussion was tabled so other committees could have a chance to meet first. 

The council reviewed outstanding debts from various projects.
