Gary Dean Schultz, 71

Gary Dean Schultz, 71, of Bloomfield, died January 4, 2025, at the Hospice House in Ottumwa, Iowa. He was born July 13, 1953, to Wendell and Marilyn Gosselink Schultz in Manhattan, Kansas. Gary graduated from Sigourney High School in 1971. He attended Harding College in Searcy, Arkansas. On November 16, 1973, he married Mary Baird at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He was employed at Ideal Ready Mix for 48 years, retiring in 2023. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Oskaloosa. Gary enjoyed gardening, Nascar and spending time with his family and friends. 

He is survived by his wife Mary of Bloomfield, two sons Chad Schultz of Delta and Justin (Christina) Schultz of Bloomfield, eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, his parents Wendell and Marilyn Schultz of Fremont, one brother Randy (Deb) Schultz of Sigourney, two sisters Kathy (Jim) Street of Cedar and Debbie (Frank) Tozser of Omaha, Nebraska.

Visitation: Thursday January 9, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Holm Funeral Home.
